Beautiful! The balance of dark tones is perfect, I think.. it's dark enough to convey the mood, but still light enough to make out all of the little details... Fantastic work! I always love to see starry sky scenes! :D

The background is very impressive, I like the starry sky and its reflection on the water. This isn't what I was expecting based on the original draft sketch you posted. The background seems to have turned into the centerpiece of the finished work. I assume that is partially why the boat isn't in the center of the picture, and that the white thing on the water is the reflection of the full moon directly overhead at midnight. The lack of ripples or a bow wake from the boat enhance its ghostly otherworldly feeling. The darkness of the picture varies based on what angle I look at it on my monitor, which is something I don't normally notice.
