This was a yellow jacket hive at my grandma's in Tallahassee,FL. The yellow jackets had made a hive in a charcol bag underneath a portable grill near the cottage. I stood far away and used the zoom feature on my camera to get this close.

My dad called a bee keeper thinking they were bees then looked it up and were yellow jackets. The bee keeper said to mix some blue Dawn soap with water then pour it on the hive. I'm surprised my dad didn't go running!~

I know a few marines with some "toys" from the military. My friend had a few wasp nest on his farm. It's amazing howich damage a hand grenade does to a wasp nest. Lol
