Just looking through your gallery, and had to chime in here because I'm a nerd!
This is indeed an amanita - Amanita muscaria, or Fly Agaric. This one is nowhere near as poisonous as many other species, but it's still not good eating. At least, not unless you want some weird hallucinations, and nausea.
They're very beautiful, though :)
