I was trying to be all artsy and thought it was a cool texture dynamic with the big ant on the lichen covered rock. I think the picture turned out pretty neat. Taken in Maine a couple years ago.

i think i've had an ant similar to that lose it's pincers in my hand then proceed to injure me by stinging me in my hand... i thought it was a bull ant but i could have been wrong... i don't think we those ants in particular down here but it looked very similar
