So that's what a Scottish fold looks like, neat! Well it goes without saying that even this mouse turns into a puddle of sentimential mush at the sight of a kitten. When I cat has been a part of your life for that long, it just doesn't make sense to leave that part of your heart empty after a death. That's how we got Taz, our current cat. :P she's middle aged now, but she's never heard the saying about growing old gracefully. She still runs around the house like the reincarnation of a NASCAR driver.

Naw, we got her at a pet store near my dad's office.

There are no shelters there? Or, do they eat all the strays?

I think they eat dogs and cats, right? I don't know if they only eat certain ones and keep the strays in shelters, or just kill them, or what. I just know in the US, we're overflowing.

There is an animal shelter here but we wanted a specific breed. Mainland China wet markets do sell dog & cat meat but not in Hong Kong. It's illegal.

Why a specific breed? I don't understand this breed preference.

All of my dogs are mutts, and they don't give us problems, outside of what comes with being spoiled.
