With a long enough exposure time and an even distribution of light you can totally make night look like day if you set your camera to the right shutter speed, aperture and ISO setting^^

I really just means that you let more light in by making the "hole" as big as possible, leaving it open as long as possible and adjusting how sensitive the sensor is to light.

The combination of shutter speed, aperture and ISO is called the "exposure triangle". It's pretty much the most basic thing you have to understand if you want to be a little more serious about photography.
It's about how the three parts play together. Like, when you keep the shutter open for a longer time you have to close the aperture (the adjustable hole in the lens that the light shines through) more to get the same amount of light onto the sensor.
It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it :3

Its really interesting to make long exposures at night (in this case 30 sec.), and see what the eye can´t :D
