*insert bad Worms joke here*
A breathtaking commission I got from
whitemantis here on FA.
I feel a little bad uploading this before she can read my feedback mail, but I am currently in the middle of a 8 hour car drive in a rather cramped car and super borrd without anything to do...
So I thought I'd try to upload it with my phone to kill some time :/
I've been following
whitemantis 's account for quite some time and simply fell in love with her incredible sense for detail and sometimes nearly otherworldly use of color, lighting and composition.
So when I was able to get this commission slot from her I just told her to run wild with Cora and she didn't disappoint in the slightest! It was so much fun working with her an seeing this unfold it's hard for me to put into words.
I will see that I'll look into this text once I get home and write a little more about it^^
Until then have fun seeing this beautiful piece of art
(A little tidbit : I went completely nuts when I saw she added scalebirds to the picture! XD Every player of M:TG should know why I did ^^)
Added Text : This is simply beautiful, there I so much I can say about it:
This is the first time in quite a while that a artist actually addressed Coracromas differently colored eyes, which I dropped because they appeared to bother artists (and I did fall in love with the golden ones aswell ^^) and the best thing about it : The references I send her didn't include the eye color, which means she took the liberty of looking through my gallery just to find out which is...just so amazing :D It means so much to me!
I also love the chains she added to the bracers, they give Cora a much more feral and dangerous look.
There is more I need to add but right now I can barely concentrate, that drive must have stressed me way more than I thought...D:
Sorry!!

Aaah. An absolutely breath taking piece of art. I can feel proud in identifying this as art, not only is it a wonderful picture of a wonderful idea, but the whole of it just speaks so much. It is the perfect example on how a picture can speak 1000 words, both the creativity and wondrous nature of your character, along with Whitemanits' amazing talent, this is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a very long time. Not that her art ever leaves something to be desired, each piece is absolutely astonishing, and just wow.
There is so much to revel in this picture, the clouds, the ocean, the landscape is drawn to perfection, it honestly leaves me near unable to express my amazement at such a masterpiece. My kudos to both you and Whitemantis for making this a reality, though I'm sure my amazement is naught compared to how it must have felt to have gotten such a piece of your beautiful Coracroma. Fantastic. Thank you for sharing on your car ride, wish you a more enjoyable journey, and a good time when you're there.
Sadly I've never played M:TG. ; ;

Wow... I .. I don't even! Thank you very much for this incredible comment! This has to be the longest comment I ever read and it was just so reassuring and nice and complimenting and... ohgosh! Thank you :DDD
I just love reading insightful comments and this is definitely one of them :D
To elaborate on the M:tG part : In Magic the Gathering there is quite the amount of giant sized creatures and they quite often use flocks of white birds to show just how big something is ^^
These birds have become known as "scalebirds" in the M:tG community, here are some examples :

So seeing them just made me giggle like mad ^^

Heh, mention nothing of it! I rarely comment on anything, only when I actually have something I really mean I wish to say. This is such a piece that drives someone like me to words, and I could do naught but offer said words as way of thanks towards you and the artist for allowing those such as I to revel in such a masterpiece!
And thank you for the little lesson there. My assumption was way off, but that is quite the cute addition! And I must add, those birds do QUITE a job at capturing that immense scale!

Oh, by the nines, it was something really silly. xD I tried my hardest to think of the most M;TG type thing I could muster up in my little head, so I had figured "Maybe they are some manner of scales or counter you use to .... count. Something" And that was about it. Even though the name is TOTALLY self explanatory, I decided it just COULDN'T be that simple.
She actually started out with differently colored eyes ^^
They can be seen in her very first picture and one done by the same artist (Called "Sequel") , but later on I noticed that many artists actually had quite a lot of trouble with her different heads already so I dropped them from the descriptions to make it easier.
Fun fact: I didn't even tell
Whitemantis about them! Meaning she actually must have looked through my gallery by herself, which is so awesome of her!

Gosh! Thank you for the kind words! I had a blast writing with you aswel! I still feel a little remorseful that I uploaded this early D:
I hope that didn't tarnish anything D:
I will add a little additional information and gushing to the description text now that I arrived home. But this looks so amazing! I can hardly believe how fast you were with such an amazing piece!

Thank you!
And I noticed! This was the second time an artist actually saw my character before I even got to commission them. I don't know if I like the feeling though D:
I never expected more than a handful of watchers... now I am getting close to 250 D:
Which to what I have seen still isn't much in FA standards but still D:

I know your feel! I never thought my character would become so popular too, even more because insects aren't very popular in the fandom, so it was a real surprise when I checked my fanart folder and counted over 100 fanarts. o____o
There are advantages and disadvantages that come with that. The disadvantage is that the chances of your character being ripped or used in RP sites are high. Maaaany times I saw people creating a "ripoff" of Nae or using her/my art in RP forums/sites.
The advantage, and this one is much bigger than the disadvantage, in my opinion, is that nice people will also be aware of you, and be aware that the original character/concept belongs to you, and they will also help you to protect your babies. Not long ago, someone created and posted a character ripoff of Nae, and after that she got a handful of comments like "this is ripped off WhiteMantis" or "this is so reminescent of WhiteMantis". The persons who posted those comments did that by their own will, neither I nor no one asked them to go there and say that! In the end the ripper took it down because they couldn't cope with all the comments! XD
Coracroma is so beautiful ;w; I hope that never happens to her!

I can't even put to words how much this means to me, especially hearing it from you D':
People around here are so nice...
And I'm sure I told you before but I love Nae's design, I usually am freaked out be every insect I see, be it painted or otherwise (Horror movies with insects are the only movies that drive me bolting out the door, I can't stand them D:) but she was the very first insect I ever was able to think to myself "Wow! This looks beautiful! Especially because of her very expressive eyes, you always manage to convey so much through them it's almost mesmerizing :)
But I don't think Cora will be copied by someone anytime soon, but maybe someday? I hope by then I will know more people nice enough to actually act that way too :)
You can consider yourself really lucky to have such awesome fans and followers :)

It's actually a quite simple concept :D
She's a 6/6 Legendary Creature- Wizard, Hound (bite me :P) and costs 4BBBR
As long as she is on the battlefield she turns every other creature into 0/2's (inspired by older cards like coffin queen and so on)
And every time she enters the battlefield from the graveyard (reanimate spells) she dishes out a collective 2 damage do all creatures and players.
So the deck heavily relies on repeatedly getting her to the graveyard and resurrect her whenever you need a board whipe :)
Too bad Eternal Nightmare is banned in EDH D:

Coming from you that really has to say something, especially seeing as you just now uploaded one of the best macro artworks I ever saw! But in all honesty I think 90% of the credit should go to Whitemantis... she was patient and nice enough to make this come to life in such a great way, I think I couldn't even have imagined it close to this level of detail :D
Just make sure to check out whitemantis s account as well! All of her stuff is of that caliber!
I see what you mean about the eye color, never caught it till now, although not so sure if I'd want to catch it if I was one of those poor dogs down there, I feel like their in for a lesson or two on why you shouldn't make things 10x bigger then you mad. Great art none the less, the details just amazing as well! :)
