I've got to get on with commissions now so I decided upon working on 
areoch's Barbarian. I should just be doing very simple backgrounds for these IBSFA pics, but I was mucking around with colours and designs on the sword, and then the background sort of "happened". I couldn't let that go to waste, so with such a dramatic pose & background, I decided on experimenting with darker contrast on the base colours with bright high lights.
Really, really dark shadows is a personal criticism right now, so this IBSFA is going to be a bit different than the previous.
