Is unlike anything else.
What a race! The last Petit Lemans under the ALMS Banner and it was full of action all day. This was taken in turn 10a at Road Atlanta in Brasselton, Ga. A great many thanks to Don Panoz for 16 years of amazing racing and to many more years to come.

Broadcast coverage of the Rolex 24 left something to be desired. MRN (who normally do NASCAR races for radio) did the overnight hours that were streamed on the IMSA website, had no clue, butchered names left and right. First couple hours on Fox Sports 1, then over to Fox Sports 2, which almost no one has it's that new a network.
Sebring next weekend gets only the first 3 hours on TV no one will even see the finish on TV, only on the IMSA website.
The race at Daytona was almost entirely ruined by an itchy finger full course yellow with 15 minutes to go on a lame "spin and go" at one of the hairpins. Then on the last lap Level 5 racing and their GT-Daytona leading car was given a horrible "avoidable contact" penalty stripping them of the win. Handing it to a Flying Lizard Audi who for all intents and purposes, flung itself off course at the infield kink (where the Gainsco Red Dragon got destroyed) challenging for a pass. There was no contact and the Level 5 car had the natural racing line. 2 hours later the penalty was revoked but long after the trophies handed out and photos taken.
I had friends down there for Daytona, after they got home and saw the coverage on youtube. they weren't impressed. If it wasn't for my parents desperately wanting to flag at Belle Isle this summer I'd be personally boycotting any IMSA races. Choosing to work an SCCA National at Mid-Ohio that's running the same weekend as the Belle-Isle round instead...but Belle Isle it is -sigh-
Also here's a sample of my "Flagger cam" video from my home track of Waterford Hills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivC.....dPXK454I_12Euw It's a full 10 lap race of our group 1 cars, Spec Miata/Neon from the eyes of the Yellow flag position at turn 3
