Ah German Engineering. Small spaces and soooo much stuff in there. This is a pic of my Audi TT I race including the intake and various mods.

Hahaha, no the BMC CDA is the cold air intake (Carbon Dynamic Airbox) from the same company that makes intakes for formula 1 cars. Audi TT quattros use the K04 Turbo. Only electronics are the GIAC X-Chip ECU reprogram to push more boost and change the variable timing/fuel ratios.
Hehe, well the TT 225 comes with a K04 already ;) Also a race N75 value and I have a upgraded Diverter value. Gives extremely fast throttle response. That and the Giac X chip ECU reprogram helps things too. I'm pushing about 275-280 HP now. Shame she's in the garage right now waiting on parts before I can get on the road. Next thing is to replace a broken shifter with a B&M short throw shifter since the factory snapped in half. Then a timing belt kit and it's back at it. Can't wait for next pay check to get it moving again :P
Haha, your like my friend. Snaps every shifter linkage of every manual car he owns. I might WOT Shift mine, but I feather it into gear. I bent a shift fork in my 325is 4 years ago and was a friggen pain in the ass replacing it.

Its about time I get to see a pic of your ride. ^_^ Really nice from what I can see. They're very fun cars to drive. A buddy of mine just got one of the new ones. They're a BLAST!!!Kind of wish you still lived around here, I reside in Charlotte now, would've been nice to take a cruise in the mountains during Spring of Fall....of maybe even cruise Deal's Gap a few times. ^_^ Ah well....
replacing the intake isn't bad if you do it with one that properly fits the MAF. Also, you have to buy a separate filter to cover your cold start intake hose. That is a CAI from BMC in Italy known as a Carbon Dynamic Airbox intake. BMC makes race intakes, usually for F1 cars and and pretty good. Along with the intake, you would want an improved Diverter Value. If you plan on running an ECU re-program on your car, you need more of an intake to provide air that extra boost. I noticed my peak was only 18 and sustained at 14 psi with the GIAC ECU, but with the CAI, and diverter value, I would see it flick up to 23 psi and then sustain at 16 psi. Also, check the engine code as well before doing too much to it. With the AMU engine code, it has forged pistons, crank and cam already for the added compression they get that stock 225 HP with. I'm also running a K04 turbo stock in it vs a K03, so mileage may vary.
Its possible to do 75+ with a chip. I don't know if I would do a BOV even if its that hybrid one. There are several good race diverter valves that would be much better.
Here are some sites that I go to for stuff, granted mostly TT related:
BMC - intakes http://www.bmcairfilters.com/
ECU - GIAC http://www.giacusa.com/
Tuning shop for ECU - http://www.imagineauto.com/about.htm This is important to find. Since custom tuning to the vehicle is a good thing to do. You want to find a tuner shop local that knows what they are doing. The one linked here is one of the best Porsche and Audi shops in the world for tuning and happens to be local to me. They might also know of someone in your area too.
Hyperboost Diverter Valve - http://www.millteksport.com/hyperboost.cfm The response rate you get with those is incredible. Also when making changes like these, I recommend putting a boost/vac guage in to see stock first, then watch the changes as you adjust things.
You might also consider some suspension tuning as well. Audi builds them for understeer in corners which is the default reaction you expect for normal drivers. Changing it to handle with oversteer (breaking the backend loose) is pretty easy. You just need a stiff anti-sway bar in the back. I'm running a Neuspeed 25mm hollow Race bar in the rear on mine set to the stiffer setting. Basically I can easily drive my AWD, like a RWD with a slight change to tire pressure on the track.

When I first drove one 6 years ago, I fell in love with it. I was only moving the car an hour and half away for a friend from work. He bought a 180 HP FWD one and didn't know how to drive a stick. I was so jealous since it handled every bit as good as my porsche project did ('87 924S). Unfortunately the porsche was a bust on the engine rebuild and I had to scrap the project. I later swore I would buy a TT some day. Then in '06 I did. The 225 HP quattro one. I have added a 25mm neuspeed anti-sway bar and chipped it. Along with the intake, I get around 275 HP at the wheels. It's a great driving machine and I do enjoy it. Just recently traded up my Xterra for another fun machine. Found a '04 Escalade to upgrade the xterra too. 6L V8, 350 HP, 380 ft/lbs of torque. It's a beauty as well and I am sure I will enjoy it as well.
hehe I have wanted a TT for a while. But I'm thinking that I'll end up with maybe a S4 or S4 Avant (I do love me some Audi Wagons) But I think if I were to get a TT now, it might be the 2006 Quattro Sport.
But I'll need a bit more room so I'm thinking I'll get a TT for a toy. I've always loved the deign of them. And I'm pretty jealous that you get to drive one every day :P lol
275Hp sounds pretty great for that little 1.8, you gonna do anything else to it? haha Escalades are pretty cool. I like big trucks as well :P

I know that, plus I have always loved Coupes over the convertibles. I need room for more then one person, and the TT's back seat is a bit small. Lol I was in the new TT and I sat in the back with the seat all the way up and I was still dry humping the driver's seat lol.
But I do love the TT and I really want one lol
