Woops forgot that this is upload quality. I really keep forgetting to upload to this site.
Based this guy off of a dream I had the night before. I was dreaming that I was watching a shitty syfy channel movie and there was this guy that I guess was mutating into a shark guy for some reason and it was pretty horrific for him. I remember specifically that he was growing claws out of his fingers and shark teeth were growing all over his arms. I think his teeth were also constantly falling out and getting replaced by shark teeth too.
Unfortunately, much like a syfy channel movie, the end result was shit in the dream. For some reason when he was fully transformed he turned into a fucking wolf. Just a god damn normal wolf. I was pissed in my dream.
So I drew this.

This almost makes me think of Peter Benchley's White Shark, a novel (and movie) about a genetically engineered amphibious shark/human hybrid produced from an Olympic Athlete by Nazis during the later years of WW2. Lost on a U-Boat and held in stasis, scuba divers end up bringing the sealed chamber to the surface and release the beast. Long story short, it mutates rapidly out of control, gains the ability to move freely on land, and has a bitchin' battle to the death with a real Great White, all before the end of the book which ends with a traditional Peter Benchley bang.
It's pretty good. If you're okay with something without a monster, let me also suggest Sea Change. Horror novel about a flesh-consuming algae bloom that tracks body heat. The descriptions of what it does tot he human body are...Unsettling. Enough so that I stayed out of the water for a time.
Sorry for the reply on a super old comment, but I thought you might like to know that there is actually a real SyFy movie based on this very novel (though it is a shark turning into a sharkdude instead of a dude turning into a sharkdude)
It's among my all-time favourite TV movies and it's actually extremely respectful towards sharks, despite the theme, and the creature effects are Stan Winston Studio and dope as hell. Also my personal fave Rockne S. O'Bannon wrote it so it's full of like, real marine biology. It's called Peter Benchly's Creature, and if you have the patience for a long two-part movie with dubious acting it's totally worth checking out imo.
