Where did yall camp?

Yeah, Even when we went in January, it still looked the same, though it did get pretty cold for that one. The other trips it was relatively warm, but that one it got down to 20F at night!

Oh man, a volkswagen pop up camper.. Mom N dad had one of those! it was SOOo cool. they also had teh tent that attatches to it that you sould zip into the rubber strip on the side door. it was made of %100 win!

yeah, they're pretty groovy. I was surprised how much space there was inside it. The top opens up for sleeping, leaving the entire bottom half open for other things. This one had a fridge inside, and I believe it had a small kitchenette (read as burners and a small sink) too, but I'm not sure.

Yup, I think that was standard equipment on teh pop up camper modles.. a small ice chest, sink and one or two burners that used propane. There was a storage area in teh back, if you open teh back hatch and in some models there was a grill back there too! There was a small canvas bunk you could set up over the drivers and passenger seat that you could sleep a kid in, and there was a 'couch' in the back that would fold down and turn into a bed. It was pretty slick. We had TONS of adventures in ours. Camping in miami along the beach more times than I can count. Many camping trips in Napa valley. was fun fun!

Yeah, that sounds like the same thing Herc had, (was his camper). They're neat little things that's for sure. Only thing is now they're getting up there in age. Like I remember his was having some engine troubles. Be a neat little thing to go buggin' around the country in though if one could be found in good shape.

Nice :P lol ive been trying to get one going here for a bit. thou it seem like something always comes up. That and I'd love to find some fur willing to hop in some kayaks and go out to the outer banks here in NC. lots of untamed beaches and wild horses etcetera... :3

Sounds like good times! I'd be up to it if I was there, though, I couldn't do the Kyaking, (can't swim). I like getting out to places like that for the photography too. I've gotten a lot more into it now than I was back then, and I've got a better camera. :)

meh we'd stay on the back sides of the islands any way for most of the trip. so it'd be shallow in most places. lol, that and thats what PFD's are for :P. but yeah if i ever get a trip somewhere beach or forests ill give ya a haller. what part of the states do u live in, if u don't mind me asking?

I live in Florida right now, but that could change at any time. And I'm working on something that might end me up traveling a bit so that I'll be on the road more. And if that's the case, then it won't matter where I am. :) I can go anywhere.
It's going to be a while before I get that far though.

Those 2 years were probably the best of the camping trips, after that they all just slowly fell apart.

Yeah, there really hasn't been any other camping trips going on down here, at least not publicly announced ones.
