This is Arch. He stands guard at Pittsburgh Airport. It is hard to look like a staid, professional business traveler while jumping up and down and squealing, "THIS IS SO FREAKIN' COOL!!!"

That is incredibly amazing, very well made out of what it is composed of. Thank you for sharing Kage, and yeah I totally saw you jumping up and down shouting "THIS IS SO FREAKIN' COOL!!!" in my head, cause, I have seen you do it before with other things, it very much made me chuckle, heh.
I'm surprised that more people don't realize that that's one of the underlying messages within the Furry Fandom.
Well, at least now that we've gotten rid of those 300-400 pound slobs who would walk around conventions wearing bunny or fox ears and poopy diapers. There's a difference between acting childish and being a walking nuisance.

Being a furry, in my opinion, is allowing yourself not to act serious all the time just because a felt majority of society expects that from people that reached some kind of age.
This grey and dull seems to be majority just "allows" you to act childish if you are a father/mother and do so to play with your child or if you have grandchildren and act as their grandfather/-mother.
But I also think that this so called majority is no majority at all. Many people just think that this is a majority because people just worry too much what a neighbour/collegue/whatever might think of you if you do not act "society conform for your age". If you do not act "normal".
Being a furry is to learn how to stick to an inner moral, that you do not have to be teached because you feel it is right to stick to it like not harm others by doing stuff that affects people in a negative way and so on but also see that life of an adult does not mean you have to take every freaking second of your life grave serious.
As general knowing we just have one life. Not having a life full of great times is like having no life at all.
You need to fulfil your duty in life, because society has to be kept running. People are depending on your work on this planet. Everyone has to take his part and give his or her talents that have been given to them from whatever deity you believe in (or call it "genes" or "mother nature" or whatever) for the greater good of everyone.
But you should never forget that life shall be a fun journey until the very last breath you take.
Well... that's just some thoughts of mine though. Perhaps it sounds silly for some people even in the fandom, but well. I'm just a humble lion with a small life here in Berlin, Germany. What do I babble about life? I do not expect people to agree nor do I somehow demand people to share my thinkings. How could I force someone to do so? Right, I can't. So I don't. And if I somehow could I still won't.

That certainly is cool. If I arrived on business in Pittsburgh I'd certainly pause to gaze in awe.
I wish I could say the bridge on top is ours (Sydney's) but it's far more likely to be the Hell Gate Bridge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Gate_Bridge
