I did this a LOOOONG time ago, so when I pin up some of my newer stuff here in a while, don't be surprised.
I'm going through a fresh start here on FA on behalf of growing up. some of you may know me from elsewhere, which is cool, but for others, this is a first time experience, which is very cool too.
I drew it February 23, 2011 on behalf of a huge epiphany: I had been drawing just to draw and posting so that other people would see it... or so I though.
They say that Furries aren't art, they say it can't be skillfully done, and that It's all for the attention.
then there are those of us who make art. What we do has meaning. What we do has life. what we do has integrity. we come from nothing and do what we do for us.
growing up, I let my art teach me a lesson I can't drop now, and even if I could, I wouldn't let go:
We can say what we will about other people, and all in all we may be right, but we have no place in judgement. one man will see art as he does, but another will be brought to a whole new perspective. we do what we do not because it is the only thing worth doing, but because it is the best form of art we can give to ourselves.
my art has always been in my mind. It is a gift to be able to put it on paper, let alone share it with the world. I drew this almost three years ago, just as I'd realized that the numbers that go on a page to sort them out and count one's worth are not. you can say what you will about a man, but you can't take the people from the world. Say what you say and do what you will. You can't take myself from me, nor I can of you, and this is an art worth commemorating.

People are people, despite the dog-like avatars they may have on their page, so if you see anything here today, let it be this:
No matter how badly you want to be special, there will ALWAYS be someone with hopes, dreams, and scars like yours. so get along with them. 'cause pretty soon, those lemons life hands you are gonna' be some pretty kick-ass lemon-aid
