Social Conditioning... for the longest time women who were more masculine were shunned, even those who took on male roles in big societal events were looked at with an evil eye, for example World War II. However, as it became more and more prevalent people came accustomed to this over time. As societal norms change, opinions change.
I'm an odd person, I look at EVERYTHING with an unbiased eye and try to see the best in everything, sure I have some inlaid biases because of where I grew up, but I try my best to suppress them and approach every new situation with a fresh slate. Surprisingly enough, I get shunned for this one fact a lot because many don't truly understand my position :3

We are all biased and selective and have prejudice to some extent. :3 All we can do is to make the best of it and try to get more openminded and understanding. You're not odd to me - you seem to be a really awesome person, in fact.
But yeah - I strongly believe you should be allowed to be who and what you want to be as long as you don't harm others. :3
