I've thought about getting netflix, but I decided not to for two reasons... my friend has it, and there was very little that appealed to me (I VERY rarely watch movies, which drives my friends insane, since that's like all they want to do...) and the other reason... I dont need help procrastinating xD
.....You know, that could actually be a pretty good metaphorical description of the show.
(No, it's a drama about a high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with terminal cancer, and opts to start cooking meth as a way to provide for his family once he's passed on.)

OHMAN SO. Right now Walter is all like "JESSE, GUS IS ONLY MAKING YOU HIS ENFORCER BECAUSE MEEEEEE" and I totally get why Jesse wouldn't listen to him after that but it's like NOOOO JESSE STOP GUSTAVO IS ACTUALLY EVIL.
Also Skyler and Walt are having problems again. Still? I don't know. I kind of hate Walt. But at the same time I want him to succeed? I don't know. My Walt feels are all confused.

I dunno, like, I certainly don't like Skylar (Skyler? Skylar? ????) but I can't say I don't sympathize with her decisions. I do think she's a little too black-and-white in how she looks at the world, although that seems to be changing a little bit. But Walt, ugh. He gets a tiny bit of power and it all goes to his head. I get where it's coming from, but um, he needs to get over himself already.
So, what are your thoughts on the rationale behind Skyler doing what she did to compromise her marriage while not following through with divorcing Walter? It was a direction the family side of the story went in that made little sense to me especially after Ted's revealed to be a bigger looser than Walter ever was. Just better looking. While I can understand being furious about his secrecy regarding his involvement in the drug trade and being stressed out about how his cancer treatment left her, even when she became aware of how he was supporting the family she didn't turn down the money and only seems to be angrier with him now that he's no longer keeping her in the dark.
Then there's Jessie, the way his family so casually put him out of the house when the maid found his little brother's stash. Then suddenly looking concerned when he just casually strolled into the house after buying it from them through Saul. Though I will say, that milf girlfriend he's got now is pretty fine. Only downer to her is she's still a user.

I honestly thought they would be going for the Beneke business rather than the car wash - especially with all of Saul's buildup about how the Danny figure "loves his business and wants to keep it going no matter what"... I mean, Ted was already screwing with his books. It would have been pretty perfect.
If you mean compromising her marriage as in sleeping with Ted, I can see it. She wanted to get back at him. I think it's stupid, but then, she's been in this crazy upheaval and Ted has been the one offering her any support, and there's clearly some kind of unfinished business between them from her previous stint at the company.
The thing is, Walt never keeps Skyler up to speed on anything. She's repeatedly asked him if he's in harm's way -- he has been -- and he always says no. He's dishonest with her all the time because he's so adamant on having this image he thinks is spotless. It's an ongoing thing, so I definitely understand her getting angrier as things continue, because he's not working on anything. And Skyler seems to have an awfully black-and-white sense of morality to begin with, which is definitely driving things forward. I think at the end of the day she wants to protect her kids the most. If she could throw Walt to the wolves and still have her kids be ok, she'd do it, but it's not an option at the moment.
Jesse's family... well, they looked concerned when he walked into the house because they didn't want him "drugging it up", right? They didn't know he'd bought it and they didn't want him depreciating it. I hate Jesse's family, seriously. Ugh, ugh, and further ugh. I think his little brother's a POS for stashing that joint in his brother's room when he knows about the drug problems.

Let us know when you get to the finale which I'm about to start getting myself. The story is very Shakespearian in how it unfolds and you get to see a somewhat realistic depiction of a lot of the hypocrisy and dysfunction in American society that provides the well spring for a lot of problems.
