One evening, in her kitchen fine,
The happy fox spent lots of time
Creating meals of wonderous taste
When from the room she ran in haste -
"IT'S HORRID! BIG! AND HAiRY TOO!"
I thought she meant, well, you-know-who;
But no, the reason for her call
Was this brown lady on the wall.
Pshaw! says I, and bravely took
The spider from her silken hook,
Then put her in the fox's paw
Just to make her scream and roar!
But now, spider is icky gook:
For fox, a liberty she took
And punched me on my tender snout;
Now spider guts lie all about.
No spiders were harmed in the making of this poem, or photograph. The background is the wall tiles in the kitchen, just fyi.
