Cruise Doodles Part 2
I went on a Caribbean cruise for my honeymoon with
skorzy and some of our friends came along on vacation with us too. I doodled a couple of highlights.
Top left:
mbala is such a groaker! No matter how many piles of food he eats he always wants what you have XD
foxfeather takes it in stride ;3
Top Right:
foxfeather hates being wet. 70% of my goal for this entire trip was to be in the ocean as much as possible. Yeeep.
Middle Left:
was1 and I share some midnight friend fries from the buffet. We're such enablers of each others gluttony XD We even dipped it in chocolate soft serve. Help. Help. So good. Don't judge.
Middle Right:
bootid had some trouble with his customs form on the way back. He bought souvenir shot glasses and when asked if he had any commercial goods he said "yes. 9". The agent at the desk was like "wait..you only have 9 shot glasses to sell?" "no I'm not selling them! D:" "You need to change that then". It was pretty weirdly worded on the form I will admit.
Bottom Left: On St. Maarten we got to try sugar cane juice. Sugar. And. Wa-ter. More. More. :I
Bottom Right:
moo and
keet made ample use of "duty free" and cheaper international pricing on the rum bearing islands. Oh yes.

Wow, you had how many people along with? Some friends wife and I did our cruise with had horror stories of bringing other folks with them, but looks like you all had a blast!
Customs can be weird. We were not allowed to bring aboard a power strip ' because it could be a fire hazard on the ship' yet if you had one in checked bags, they didn't have a problem with you plugging it in the room and using it. *shurgs*

We had 6 others, so 8 of us total. The group was fine since we all did our own things during the day, sometimes together, sometimes separate, sometimes different combos or sub groups, but we all had a common dinner time on the ship to share stories of the days events. If we expected ourselves to stay all together the whole time it would have been a logistics nightmare and my criteria for our honeymoon, since I planned our wedding, was No. More. Planning. But all of our friends are very much like us in that we enjoy each others company but are self sufficient enough to do our own thing :3
We got flagged because Skorzy brought his leatherman multi tool along because we hike and its proven useful on such outdoorsy trips, but while tsa was fine with it in our checked luggage, the cruise ship said absolutely not and we had to surrender it. Fortunately a nearby Sheraton hotel allowed us to "check" it with them for a week (at no charge! How generous) so he wouldn't lose his favorite tool. Now we know though. I see the reasoning behind it but there were sooooo many situations during our trip we really could have used it on or excursions :/
