Been talking about it for over a year, and FINALLY today I was able to see the fruit of a lot of labor. The powder coated hardware is finally complete - in black for now.
How did I do it? I cut a piece of attic vent grating, pushing each hole a bit wider so the rivet will slide in. Then I put the cap on each rivet. Then the company coated and baked the pieces. Once home with them, I have to pop the cap off each rivet as they are somewhat stuck. It is very labor intense for each little metal bit, but they look perfect when complete.
Been dreaming of all black hardware, for your harness? All red hardware for your collar? All hot pink hardware for your cuffs?
Yes, any color is possible. Cost? $20 minimum if it is a color I have not offered before. For BLACK, and any other color which I have run a batch - $2 per piece (buckle, ring, etc), and $0.25 per rivet.
If you have a current item with silver, and you desire a replacement piece in color, you get half value as a trade. For instance, a $50 collar you have now is worth $25 in credit toward a new one with all royal blue metal parts - which retails for $50+20, so you'd pay $45 to trade up. If you want black, I have that already done, so $50+10 = $60 - $25 trade = $35 your cost.
