As a fan of Luigi, I can't help but enjoy the unique flavor his character has adapted, a flavor cemented by "Super Smash Bros. Brawl". If Luigi was a real person, he'd be quite the troubled man. Living in his brother's footsteps, the less popular, less successful, yet more physically fit of the two could never reach the level of popularity his brother could. Even after proving himself a world-class athlete in multiple sports, he is not left with fame. Instead he is haunted, living alone and estranged in his dilapidated mansion, battling with his addictions and inner demons.

Yah, he's a main for me, and I totally agree here; he is a troubled, troubled soul. Some day, down the road, in Super Mario World 3:Ultra Alpha Edition, he shall snap, and do horrid, gruesome, unspeakable things to his portly pisano brother with the F.L.U.D.D. And then, only then, would his glory come to be..
What? Wouldn't it be kinda deserved by now? X3 Nice work.

When I first saw this pic, just the expression on his face was trying to say something. Got me kind of curious as to what was going on..
After reading your thing.. ya you pretty much summed it up. I don't know much about the games myself, I hadn't followed the brothers adventures in a long while. I perosnally would like to see Luigi learn that he shouldn't have to follow in his brother's footsteps in order to bring about his own fame. But rather blaze his own style of adventure. He have always been the lesser of the two, but for some of us I'm guessing it just makes him that more likeable. :)

There are only two games where Luigi goes on a quest to save Mario - Mario Is Missing, and Luigi's Mansion. There needs to be more.
It's good he jumped from second player to giving players the freedom to choose him as the first player in various games, like Mariokart and Smash, but he needs more appreciation than that, really. One example being that whoever designed Hotel Mario actually animated Luigi pretty well.
He's my favorite of the Mario Bros., always and forever. Luigi, we salute you. :D
