Sumo Turtles: Choose Your Own Adventure - Part 25
Previously...
Before Leonardo could reach the brainwashed robot, the entire room suddenly shook as if it had been dropped, making everyone stagger. Oh no! Had Shredder already mobilized the Technodrome? How would they be able to halt IRON Chef's rampage, find Leatherhead, and stop Shredder before he started destroying New York?
Two of those questions were answered as one of the walls began to groan and bow inward, toppling stacks of boxes. Before anyone could take more than a step back in precaution, the wall suddenly gave way under a massive tidal wave of... scales and blubber? Leonardo managed to jump to safety, but IRON Chef was taken off-guard, knocked over by the wall of fat and rapidly smothered as it rolled over him. The scaley wall advanced slowly after the initial breakthrough, wobbling and knocking over more boxes, or squashing them flat under its bulk as it advanced. None of the turtles could figure out what they were looking at until Mondo spoke up, practically cheering as he ran up and hugged a portion of the soft mass. "It's LH! He totally came to our rescue~!"
Raphael stared, then pointed at what might have been a very fat hand half-buried in the blubber. "-That's- Leatherhead?? He's huge! Even bigger than Mikey!"
Michelangelo groaned in response, feeling too bloated to come up with a proper comeback as he pressed his swollen hands into his belly and felt it press back. IRON's energy blast was still affecting him, and he could feel himself growing larger and more cumbersome by the minute. His shell felt so small against his back now, and the mawashi Splinter had given him was getting overwhelmed by his soft body.
Donnie rubbed the back of his neck, feeling it slowly grow thicker as the as the energy blast affected him, too. Fortunately, he still had plenty of time before he got to Mikey's size. "Well, I think they mentioned trying to contain something in this area... Looks like they're still having trouble."
Leo shook his head, pointing to the door they had come through, now blocked by several hundred tons of gator. "-We're- going to have trouble if we don't find another way out of here before we're unintentionally squashed!"
It was true; Leatherhead's blubbery body was still slowly filling the room, not leaving the occupants very many options. "Hey, over here!" Donnie made his way over to one of the toppled stacks of boxes, revealed an emergency exit that had been hidden behind it!
"We're going to have to leave Bebop and Rocksteady behind," said Leo as he waddled over. "But they know this place better than we do, I'm sure they'll be alright. Besides, they, uh, both looked like they had enough protective padding..." Quickly shoving the boxes out of the way, the five reptiles escaped the room and hurried down the corridor beyond.
Of course, they could only go so fast, seeing as four of them were feeling unnnaturally encumbered. Mikey was the slowest, huffing and puffing, wobbling gelatinously with every movement. He could feel his thick thighs and even his calves rubbing closer together, legs fighting against each other and his heavy belly to take each step. His limbs felt too swollen to bend properly, arms jutting out to either side and barely helping him keep his balance. When they got to the exit, Donnie and Leo had to push Mikey from behind to help squeeze his growing bulk past the 'narrow' double doors. Fortunately, Donnie was still growing too, his shoulders and chest broadening along with his belly and giving the normally skinny turtle strength he wasn't used to.
The five of them had just made it outside when the Technodrome shuddered again, this time followed by a low hollow whine that slowly built in pitch. Circuitry normally dark and lifeless began to glow and pulse across the mobile fortress' spherical surface.
"The reactor must have finished powering up!" shouted Leo as the Technodrome shook the cavern around it. They watched in awe as it rose into the air on its giant treads, other parts shifting and flexing into what looked like powerful claws. Tilting back a bit, the large mounted eye squinted as it let out a mighty mechanical roar! Was this the technodrome's true fully-functional form? Or did the unique energy reactor have something to with it? "It... kind of looks like a giant robo-sumo wrestler now, doesn't it?"
Donnie couldn't help but marvel at the alien technology in action, but quickly cleared his head. There was no way they could stop the Technodrome in their current condition. Big as they were, they definitely weren't big enough to tackle this situation! "...Wait... Mondo! That gun you stole from Krang; is that really what made Leatherhead so enormous?"
The skater lizard nodded, still hefting the heavy weapon. "Totally! You should've seen Krang's face when it didn't deep-fry him, or whatever."
Donnie rubbed his chin, looking back up at giant robo-monstrosity. "That gun is powered by the same energy as the Technodrome's snackcake reactor, which in turn is a similar, but still uniquely different kind of energy than the one IRON Chef used on all of us... I might not have time to do the proper calculations, but my theory is that if the two energies were to be combined, they would both react exponentially, resulting in a significant increase of mass capable of matching the Technodrome's...!"
"English, Donnie!" huffed Raphael, folding his fat arms across his chest. "Some of us don't speak geek!"
Donatello rolled his eyes and helped Mondo position the gun so he could fire it. "If Mondo zaps one of us, we should grow big enough to actually stop the Technodrome from attacking the city! It only looks like there's enough energy for one more shot, though, so we'd better make it count..."
Mondo blinked dully, as he wrestled the gun to keep it pointed. "Uh, but who do I zap...?"
1) Michelangelo! He's the biggest and has some sumo training!
2)Leonardo! He's the leader, after all, and the best tactician.
3)Raphael! He's the toughest and always good in a fight!
4)Donatello! Being the smartest, maybe he could find a weakness!
I've been building up towards the Sumodrome for a while now, and I gotta say it's immensely satisfyin' to see it drawn out! You can't tell me it didn't look like some kind sumo cyclops way back in the original cartoon, right? C'mon! Anyway, you guys get a big helping of gator and Mikey in this one, and an even bigger helping of whichever turtle ends up with the most votes!

The most logical choice from a story telling perspective is Mikey since we begin the story with him and now it's getting close to the end I'm assuming.
However I have to go with my favorite character (even if he's unlikely to win) and pick 4 for Don.
I'm a little disappointed Splinter didn't show up to be a choice, but I'm hoping he'll make an appearance later. ^_^
