Way overdue... Third commission for newenglander of my ferret girl, which he has dubbed Erica Von Loafen. Story below(written by Newenglander)!!
On the eve of her nineteenth birthday, mega-weathy (and shopaholic) heiress Erica Von Loafen is informed by her father that she will be starting business school at the end of the summer, the better to get her ready to take over the billion-dollar family business (hotel owners, perhaps?). This isn't taken well by Erica, who only lives to shop, party, and jet-set, and she comforts herself by going on a shopping spree, ending with the purchase of a ring called "Circe's Pleasure",which comes with a dark history (such as stories of former owners who mysteriously vanished). Erica makes the ill-timed wish while wearing the ring of being able to basically play all day, just like her friend's exotic pet ferret is able to. The next morning, she awakens to find herself becoming progressively smaller and ferret-like, and the ring is missing! Can she find the ring and try to reverse the change, or will she give in to new instincts (and her own lazy nature) to playing non-stop? (After all, her luxury-filled mansion is now a giant playground to her!) Lots of room for drama and laughs in this scenario; can she keep her family/servants from finding out what's happened (you can only stall people with text-messages for so long), and can she avoid the near-sighted, broom-wielding maid who mistakes her for a rat and pursues her through the mansion, trying to throw her out? (The thought of a "YIPES!"-looking Erica hustling on two legs to out-run a ginormous push-broom or mop is darkly funny.) And can she find a perfume which will cover her musky scent?
Here is Erica, shrinking obviously. She looks more concerned about her clothing not fitting rather than what's actually happening to her body. I don't draw humans often, but I think she came out alright. I would have liked to give her a belt, as I'd imagine that an heiress would not go without a fashion belt of some kind! Oh well... hope he likes it!
