Sound the trumpets! Bang the gongs! After over a year I finally finished Ripley's revised ref!!!
Some important things to note:
- Ripley's hair is SHORT in back, not quite buzzed, but not curled or long. I think a lot of people in the past have mistaken his sideburns/bangs for long hair in the back.
- I'm not picky about how you draw his feet in regards to where the hallux (thumb) is placed. It can either look like a real chicken's foot, or be a lil' thumb he can grab with!
- I generally draw him plantigrade when he's wearing clothes because it's easier, and digitigrade when he's not. Feel free to play with these areas of his design!
- His bird feet magically fit in his shoes.... don't think too hard about it.
- He's about 24-26 years old, just generally depicted as a young adult manchild.

As I read over this, 3 things occurred to me right off -
- That little burst of fire looks really cool and comic-booky. You keep improving!
- I wonder how bad it would hurt to accidentally get poked in the eye by his beak nose.
and
- 'Tries to act tough but is dumb' sums up everything I want in an SO.
The front/back shots on this are my favorite. You're colors are getting so bright and well developed! Plus Rip looks soft everywhere and I want to touch it all. Good job, bae!
