Ahh, Sahris... one of my favorite OCs. Very obviously based off of Saga from Alice Nine, for any that might be familiar with him. Sometimes I create characters based off celebrities, and I know a lot of people advise against that because of preconceived notions of the reality dripping into the character, but somehow, for me, just the face and the couple of things I perceive about the person serve as jumping off points. Sahris, Nera, Anem, Talamay, Iren, and a couple of other characters that exist throughout the Ismenara series are also based off musicians or singers I love. I find that quite a bit of that love I have for them drips into the development of the character.

Anyway, about Sahris--he exists during the Aranis period, and was one of the main players in the instatement of the Ilarion dynasty. He was trained secretly in the ways of the Lohre, Carram's most ancient religion and magic practice, from the ages of 6-16. During his teenage years, though, he lost his entire life, basically (I haven't quite deduced how that all happened yet) and moved to one of the cities, where he worked in a brothel while still studying magic.

By the time he was discovered by Captain Aiyma, Sahris' powers exceeded those of any other sorcerer in the nation, aside from those on the High Counsel. However, none ever truly understand the extent of his power aside from Sahris himself.

Anyway, he's really interesting to me. I hope you like him too.
