This is the test setup I soldered together yesterday to start testing the software side of these animatronics. I tried to match the hardware as best as possible to the final product, so I am using a DC-DC Buck/boost converter in front of my bench top supply and am running this all off an Arduino nano.
I am going to be prototyping this all in Labview. You can see the full testing setup in my gallery.

Now this is interesting work [least to me]. Got some genuine technical
chops in play here. Likely more'n a few suiters will want a copy.
More interesting, sounds like chops enough to be able to consult on a
minor fursuit project of my own (currently in the Still Dreaming About It
phase).
Hope to be in touch (but oughta hope to survive winter first. :- ) )
