Yup thats a wax crayon to seal down the wire wrapped sleeve on the ferrite rod to prevent it from moving. IT is neat to know if ya slide it enough, it will pick up Voice of America! lol.. This is the AM side completed. Whew it was fun but there is the FM side to do!!
I will start it probably in the next couple of days.

I will start on the FM side this weekend or monday. MY weekend is kinda full. I plan to see my parents, witch I have not seen in more than three years. (my moms anyway) Dad was earlier this year. But I will upload more pics.
After I do this kit I may invest in a ramsey fm tx kit,,, (Pirate radio) lol.

If I sent you one you could put it together with me, Its really easy. Just do as I do and s p r e a d it out and it wont be so bad. I do them because its soothing good for my hands and its been raining cold here too.
I know you can solder, I learned how to on junk tele sets and radio chassis when I was younger. Yeah I got a few scars too.! but all in the same.
