I'd rather imagined Miyu to have past ties with one member of Star Wolf (excepting perhaps Pigma and Leon), if any relationship is to be created. Falco doesn't seem like the overly personable type, and Fox...well, Miyu will be getting in trouble from both Fara and Krystal, I presume.
So that's why Fay and Miyu got kicked out from the 'Star Fox' series!
They appeared in only 'Star Fox 2' when they should've appeared in all of the Star Fox' series!
Who would be so absolutely cruel to kick these two beautiful cuties out of their very own SERIES!?

Well they could release StarFox 2 on SNES platform.
But Nintendo 64 was coming up soon and he, who developed Star Fox 2, saw Nintendo 64's 3D potential in Super mario 64 game. He re-designed StarFox 2 from SNES in Nintendo 64's platform, which made StarFox 64 such awesome game.
But I don't understand reason for remove Miyu & Fay from the game. Miyu was replaced as Katt, Falcon's love interest.

Star Fox, good games, but I think who developed it should have sit down and decided what to do of it instead to keep changing it up almost entirely at every release...
