Vanguard is their last name. They are basically in my story Knights that fight for the sake of good of others. Terry, James, Mamoru, Ike and Shade all fight for the greater good, putting their lives on the line to bring peace and harmony. They are very proud of their name, and bringing honor to their title and family-line.The Vanguard characters are old fashion like that, very knightly. At the end of the day it just a class name they refer themselves as. Unlike the Valkyrie Knights which were basically like their own race. :nod:
