This is an example of the video game contracting work I do in addition to all the illustration and furry art. Animated sprites and isometric environments and that sort of thing. These shots are from our own game, which isn't remotely near done. I have other projects going that I'm under an NDA for, so I can't talk about. ooh, secret!

My biggest contention with the push towards next generation graphics is the budgets required to generate them tend to force and inform developers into a mindset of making very un-replayable games that basically amount to theme park rides. Exciting and fun for a short time, but no depth. I like my Half Life 2 as much as the next guy, but I'm already spent more time playing this SR2 and I'm nowhere near done yet.
Took me a while to learn. I have a working knowledge of 3d modeling software, and a lot of experience with Photoshop, and I sorta combined them in a mutant fashion so I can accomplish this sort of stuff very quickly. I kept experimenting until I found a process that was really efficient and still looked good.
That's the idea. ^_^ Torment is one of our favorite games, that's the thrust of our project, is an RPG hevay on writing like Torment. The models are built as untextured 3d, and then I render them, bring them into Photoshop and do my pantented jiggering of public domain textures over the top.
