There is a story to this badge, naturally. It is a little known fact that a long time ago I drove a taxi for the summer in Philadelphia. It was one of those big Checker cabs, like those now only seen in the movies.
Recently, I was telling stories of my cab-driving days (I have many stories!). I told about how I swore, when I started driving, that I would never yell out the window of the cab like so many cabbies seem to do. That lasted about a day and a half, when I found myself screaming out the window at some perceived insult.  simmer overheard all this on Twitter and long story short, offered to do a badge.
