So this is what I do for work now as an intern at an architectural firm in china. The pay is crap but at least the kinda work I do is basically almost the same as what I do in my spare time anyway.
Now this is just a little something they assigned me to make in 2 weeks, I managed it in 4 days (and that was after about 3 revisons on the design). So hopefully that means they will assign me to bigger projects soon.

in 1 year's time when the internship ends and my visa expires I am going back to australia and with luck be able to get any architectural job I want.
