The brave Monster Hunter, Leony, was quite the novice when she fought her first Rathian. Unfortunately, she encountered a Rathalos by accident too... apparently it was mating season... she lost a wing and her other was damaged badly too :(. She didn't give up on this as she found monster hunting a very engaging job for her, particularly given her love for meals made from certain monsters' meat...
Yes, that's a Barioth armor for blademaster and that's an Icicle Blade =P, those are actually my favorite in monster hunter. As an inside joke, she had to hunt 1 extra Barioth just to get the parts for the torso XD

Old art is OOOOOOOLD
but nice nonetheless... I drew this piece a while back and decided after inking that I could give it some color for practice. Full piece was made via Sai and nothing else. I enjoyed the colors but took me a long time to finish, that's for sure.
This piece doesn't implement new techniques I have learned during vacations... soooo.... yeah, that's why I consider this old. The new techniques would actually make it look better but to be honest, I didn't feel like redrawing it since I had already created a color base before my vacations XD

you would, you are right... the game physics actually have rules for the great sword models. The Icicle blade is a great sword and when unsheathed... or more like, not hanging from your back, it makes you move incredibly slowly.
The 2 advantages of this sword are that it has the 2nd greatest defense stance in the game. It can hit extremely hard, even with uncharged attacks. I learned to use it properly. So much in fact, I make it look easy XD. I can dodge very fast monsters even with me moving slowly with it. The learning curve in Monster hunter is just perfect and this includes weapons.

is good, you are basically fighting bosses all the time just to get parts to build better armor and upgrade your game X3
It takes some good learning too but after that is done it comes down to your skill. The real fun of the game comes when you do co-op with friends. If you like fighting big bosses and don't mind getting beat up 3 times before winning, try it XD

freaking amazing....that's all i can really say is freaking amazing x.x really makes me want to buy Monster Hunter now. jerk, making me want to buy stuffs. XP
