That's because you're sliming your hand all up :3.
Anyway, some pokemon like it if you hold the stylus on the screen while not touching their body, which makes you wiggle your finger at them. in response, they will try to 'slap' it (or in Tyrunt's case, boop it with it's nose). if you move the stylus to get hit by it, the pokemon cheers and you receive points for enjoyment ;3.
Only a handfull of pokemon like doing this so far; Tyrunt, Sliggoo, Jigglypuff, and Pancham are all the ones I've found so far.

hehehe! Also, when you get to about 4 hearts in pokemonami, after you beat an opposing pokemon, if you rub the touch screen during the opponents fainting animation until they either faint away or vanish into the pokeball, you'll rub your pokemon on the head IN THE BATTLE.
A wonderful way to praise them for a job well done. And yes, this can be done for every opponent beat and for any pokemon partner as long as they have enough hearts.
Side note: You can't touch Slugma without burning your hand XD (found in the desert with the power plants, need to rock smash the two rocks near some skate grind rails. Rather uncommon).
