Costume Contest Winner - Napster the Pirating Pirate
This ended up being quite a surprise for me! Nearing the 8:00pm mark, I was tapped on the shoulder by one of the party staff members (I forget who it was). He asked me if I was aware of the costume contest going on, and I said, "uh, yes." He then silently presented me with this amazing, shiny gold trophy. I couldn't beieve it! I actually won! Well, I won in the category of the human costume contest anyway. According to the guy who presented me with the trophy, I won because I kept my costume on the entire time while everyone else would often whip on and off theirs thereby not being constant with their costume (I can't blame them, though; the party room grew rather musty and hot), and I was well into my character of the costume/personality I was portraying. Plus I received kudos for adding in the bonus prop of a blank bootlegged DVD copy of Gravity in 3D (which is funny considering it's still in theatres and not out on DVDs yet ).
Thank you very much to the wonderful staff for bestowing upon me this wonderful well-earned trophy. I shall add it to my collection of gold (albums) and other assorted valuable booty.
