Just a quick little ref I threw together for my Aquanix, Carlo ^^ It's a little sloppy, but whatever XD I wasn't trying too hard on this one

Species: Aquanyx (This is a closed species of my own design! Please do not copy or steal thank you)

Aquanyx are a fox-like aquatic species. They are very diverse and live in just about any aquatic environment, regardless of the temperature. Each Aquanyx has a unique color and set of markings; however, those that live in colder environments tend to have darker, duller fur colors, whereas those in warmer environments possess brighter, bolder colors. Aquanyx enjoy decorating themselves. Often they can be found wearing elaborate strands of seashells, coral, fish scales, and just about anything colorful. Their main source of locamotion is their sleek, muscular tail. The fur on their tail is short but very dense. At the end of their tail they have fins that may or may not be covered with fur. They also have webbing between their toes. They can live on land and in water. They have gills which are not visible because they are hidden by their fur. They can swim up to about 45 mph. Their main diet consists of fish and crusteaceans. Sometimes they will eat kelp. They most commonly live in underwater caves. They gather glowing plankton and kelps to provide light inside their cave. They often hoard colorful shells and coral, and decorate their caves with them. They may live alone or in groups. Family groups are more common. Aquanyx are generally peaceful, friendly creatures. The tropic Aquanyx do hold some prejudice against the arctic Aquanyx due to their dull, unfamiliar fur. Aquanyx do have natural predators. The predators differ with the habitats. In the arctic it's usually orca whales and in the tropics it's usually sharks.
