
Colors aside, I'm VERY pleased with how she turned out - I don't draw birds for a good reason! I kept her colors fairly muted and stuck to browns a golds because with most birds, the females are often natural earthy tones, or are much more subdued.
But here we see her in her nest, high in the aeries, turning her eggs to make sure they all stay warm evenly. She's also inspecting the clutch, as birds are wont to do. The largest and healthiest egg is closest to her body, the other healthy eggs surrounding it. This egg, however, needs further inspection and consideration. If she concludes that the egg is a dud, she'll push it away to the edge of her nest, where Tandrenn could obtain it with a little effort. That is, of course, provided he'll settle to stealing the egg that a mighty griffin rejects...
