Chapter 28 of Werewolf Tale. The long in coming finale.
Alex and Shane have another face-off, and both of them lay their cards, and pieces of their hearts, on the table. What happens from here? As the sequel keeps being worked on, we'll see.
Even though I've said this before, this chapter continues to push the envelope for my favorite out of all of them. It does get a bit blubbery in terms of emotions at times, but in the case of these two, I can't say I blame them for acting the ways they do. (Even if Alex seems a bit selfish here.) There's a lot on the line for them, and exposure would damn them both.
Enjoy.

Once again, a shout-out to
lycanthropeful. She has another commission detailing the final scenes of this chapter, which you can find here. http://lycanthropeful.deviantart.co.....Alex-358475130 - The full-sized version is in my DA gallery.
If you've been reading Werewolf Tale since the beginning, or if you jumped in during a later chapter, or even if you read the older versions on DA/Protagonize as well as this updated one, I hope you enjoyed the tale and thank you for your time in reading it. It's been fun sharing this story in its various forms since my NaNo 2011 days.

Yes and No. This was how I imagined the original story would end, which would've been the end of Alex and Shane's stories. I got the idea to keep going after a lot of positive reception on DA, but made sure it would be only once more. After that, the story will truly be over.
So there's more coming, though not until I'm further along and have enough beyond Chapter 9 I feel is good enough to post.

*SPOILER ALERT*
Aaah ic!
You should definitely keep going! Because... to be honest; if this is the ending, it feels quite unfinished.
I can't wait to see more interactions/confrontations with Shane. (or even other werewolves)
May I ask how long you think that would take? =3
Btw, just a question.
Did Shane just threatened Alex to kill him, his parents, and his friends?

You're actually the first person to mention that to me. Kind of feels like I took the Deathly Hallows route now that I look back on the NaNo plotline.
About the sequel though, I probably won't be posting more for a while. I'm guessing a few months since I'm focusing on NaNoWriMo and getting funds for the copy-edit and cover of Werewolf Tale in order. (There will be more interactions with Shane coming, and I hope to tell more about who he is as well.)
As for the statement Shane made to Alex, despite mentioning everyone else, he meant that only for him. Not as much as a threat to kill him but a warning to keep his behavior in check. And he has his reasons for it.
Alex shifting in public once already, which Shane mentioned as a danger to both of them, is one reason. Alex's mannerisms, even when Shane's not around him, is another reason. And then there's him saying that Shane's life is worth less than his own in this chapter, and how he seemed to be looking for reasons to condemn him.
In Shane's view, all of this says to him that Alex is a risk that needs to be controlled. Lest he behave irrationally and threaten not only himself, but everyone he and Shane know in the process.

Sorry, I haven't read the Deathly Hallows so I don't know what you're referring to. (or it was ages ago and I forgot =p)
Ok kewl! I'll be sure to notice when you post new chapters. ;3
Hmmm... in that case some background information of Shane would be very interesting.
There are a lot of things I wouldn't have done in place of Alex ánd Shane. Though miscommunication and misunderstanding are often sources for conflict and drama. =p
