Collin had to fight the popular kid for this role his school production of this musical. His argument: he was (and still is) the stronger tenor, could identify with the character better, and he thought that the character of Raoul (the hero) was just too 2 demensional and therefore perfect for his rival, and he could play off that.

And he didn't mind getting his pretty face messed up the part too.
