Heh, same issue as me eh?
Eyes are the gateway into a characters mind and can express great wisdom and feelings.

I've always considered the eyes on anything I draw pretty unique to my style, and as such, even when I'm re-vamping the way I put an image together, I try to hang onto that as much as possible.

I know what you mean. Laitly Iv been screwing about with drawing the body posture first and then the head... jeasus christ on crutches... that was the worst idea ever.

I had to retrain myself to draw "backwards" drawing the feet first, then work up to the head. It keeps me in check with proportions. Its difficult, but it seems to work at least for me.

Well thats an interesting thing... sometimes its hard for me to draw on one single size of canvase. Sometimes it would be small.. and then I would need a wall. XD
I wish there were times I could do a drawing on one big very flat wall... or maybe a half cylender wall... that would be cool for perspective.

Thats when practice comes into play. I used to have a hard time drawing on 18x24 sized paper and using the entire damn page, but with time I got used to it. Even if I dont make the character fill the page, I add background elements to it. Though now that I draw big, I ended up using a bigger sketch book. Though drawing people or objects in various sizes is a great tool to have.

I believe eyes are the most-important item in facial expressions. I believe you prove this point with the most-bottom-rightest image. Looks so sad :( *hugs a pengi*
