Thrakos: Let us take a ride
This is a surprise gift artwork to my buddy
thrakos
He’s been a nice, cool watcher over the past years and… well, he is the first “Bangaa” I’ve drawn.
I always wanted to draw these creatures… but in a modern, less fantasy-styled context. And since I don’t know any other Bangaa around here, my choice fell on Thrakos.
And when I saw the gloves he’s wearing… I immediately had to think about racing bikes.
But… darn, bikes are hard to draw!!!
XD
Note:
When I’m not used to a new character, I usually draw these “head-to-thighs” shots… I hope it’s okay and you will like it! :3

I always had an odd notion that they were trying to cash in on the Argonians of Elder Scrolls....except Bangaas only appear once.
Instead of those silly new interest races, how about we have more bratty emo anime characters who mope and dope? :D
(or at least that's they're logic. Yeah I really have a dislike for Final Fantasy and all the angst. No-one likes angst ridden characters that complain all the time.)

This is great!
That actually looks similar to a bike I used to have growing up, and I see you did some interesting scale pattern details on him which are really impressive! You captured his body tone perfectly though, exactly how I've always pictured him. Thank you so much!

Thanks very much, buddy! ^____^ I'm really happy that I could make YOU happy, too!
Cool coincidences... about the bike or the other gift you gave me.
And it's cool that I could make one of your dreams come true. After all... that's what I promised, didn't I?
About chatting... well,l I'm not the huge chatter. ^^" Weird, huh?
But I'm open for any shouts, notes, comments and stuff. I kinda prefer writing... I like taking my time and think carefully WHAT to write, hehehehe.

Yeah, it's not about you. I'm simply very busy... despite of my drawing stuff. :)
You know, I'm a school teacher and... holidays are over, sadly. I have to work again on Monday.
But the holiday time was great. I had a lot of fun and I was VERY productive... indeed.
But ya know what?
Being productive is not as good as being able to make someone happy.
And to know that I've put a smile on your face... is the greatest reward. :3
Yes... this feels really good.

Yes, I do. I'm a busy, artisic reptile... XD
No, in fact I'm having HOLIDAYS! Eh... 2 days of holidays left. And when I sit at home all day... the one or the other artwork comes to life! ^____^
About the time issue... I was drawing 6 hours straight!! With no breaks! So... that's why it was possible.

OK this one was rather a surprise but funny like sooo many others already said blabla bangaa and bicycle! Still, you did awesome work again and EXCELLENT details! I think the bicycle tires actually could confuse me and I might not be able to do all that detailing on them but you managed, awesome work!
Even fully complete with the lens flare. Nice touch certainly. And I simply must agree with you on the bike front. You would think for something comprised mostly out of tubes, it would be easy to draw. But, you certainly have seemed to achieved it nicely. I'm sure with plenty of explicatives, and heavy eraser usage.
Overall though, fantastically done in your always more than stunning art style. Very nicely done as always. Your anatomy continues to astound and amaze me.

Thanks for your comment, my friend. :)
You see... I've finally found a working digital style for myself.
Since the last TORNADO UNLEASHED I'm really pleased about all the works I've done.
^_^
Green bike: because his sword was green. XD
But... what was this shout about... a traditional artwork?

Ah it's just before you did my piece, I realized that you actually update your progress with artwork in the journals your previously wrote by editing them as opposed to making new ones all the time. So now I check out the old journal to see what you have coming up every so often and noticed you have 3 pieces you're doing for yourself. A music piece, a digital piece, and a traditional piece "Fantasic 2". I love seeing everything you post but you know I love seeing your traditional work even more
Aye, yes... it is helpful to check my journal!!!
^_^
Though... "Fantastic 2" will not be an artwork about Reptile, it will be an update of these guys:

Hmmmmm... Thanks for the nice long comment.
Well, you've found me here eventually. Cool!
And yes... I have drawn many loincloths in my time.
It's the best cloth for creatures with a tail! ^_^
There are many different styles.
The native Americans used the fully wrapped and packed cloth, which keeps "everything" warm and save.
The Pygmies used to wear the version which only covers the front... BUT a blow of the wind would uncover the privates. XD
My Reptilians use the open version, too. They don't have external genitals, after all. Just a slit to cover.
In the past time, I have grown fond of the japanese fundoshi.
I really like this cloth... it's tight and functional.
Yeah... that's it. ^_^
