A poem that I originally wrote in 7th grade and have changed it over the years but it still holds its core message. please give feedback whatever it is about. thank you.

In the heat of the night by Benjamin
In the heat of the night
I fought with myself
Until I got to where
I could no longer Bear.

I ran into the night
Rain pelted my skin
It hurt but I was alright.

I enjoyed the pain
I needed pain
to know that I was alive.
Living in fantasy to survive
Returning is the hardest drive.

Thou beautiful the world was created
Mankind has little faith
for the Creator.

And Faith in themselves is only the beginning
Of the downward spiral into hell.

Suddenly someone grabbed me
I lashed out
But he said in a whisper to my ear
Come with me child for I am near.

But I was not used to such subtle ways
And I was stubborn
Doing things my own way.

He said
Do not be afraid
You are my child
one of many
In my home.
Be not afraid of adults
But live as the child of
God you know yourself to be.

And let the physical be what
The physical is
For the thought is reality.
And physical is the illusion.
