Holy crap that was close!
Thought I'd take a break and take a little look at Altered Bunnie's first experiences with her prosthetic limbs. The functions for extending and points of articulation are not cooperating properly and Bunnie is going in blind on the whole matter so a few surprises are to be expected; though a blast randomly to the head sure isn't.
That poor echidna girl wasn't doing anything to provoke our disabled veteran rabbit when suddenly this big ol' nasty laser blast came straight at her head. Luckily she dabbles as a Sailor Scout (don't ask) at night and is quick to react. I just hope she doesn't have any bad feelings after all this.

Yikes! Run girl, Run!
Bunny's...still getting the hang of her new "body buddies" it seems?^^
Maybe the Docs should have considered starting her out on regular prostetics WITHOUT laser death cannons first! XD
Seriously though, I really like Bunny's expression here. The whole scene screams "OMG I'M SO SORRY! REALLY!!"

In hindsight I should have had the gun hand pointing up with extra blasts firing in different directions to better depict how it's gone out of control. The idea is that it has a bit of power load as well as her not being fully ready nor the device being that well made. Just think of the Defiant from DS9 meets the Enterprise-A from Star Trek V. Later on, it's determined that Bunnie is relying too much on the kick of the gun and the thing draws power from her own self. Sonic has to have little speech about how his own speed comes within him and thus he scarfs tons of chili-dogs or other such stuff to maintain his cholesterol what with his metabolism. This comes off weird to Bunnie who can't imagine herself becoming voracious like Sonic but thankfully she's able to grasp that a soldier isn't defined by a weapon but their own strengths and tactic.
There are a few things that make a story to me. A) emotional investment. Do I care about anyone? B) balance. A character only goes so far if they aren't checked by a failing to their spectacular quality or every action must have penance particularly in non-recurring characters. This is not to say that growth and improvement aren't to be had. C) continuity. By God I do like to have a good long universe to pull from. I'm a Trekkie and a Whovian and they have a LOT of continuity over decades of production as does the Sonic comic and that's what makes you appreciate the little things even if it boils down to shameless continuity-porn. D) rewatchability. Some of my favorite things I watched hundreds of times. Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and to me those films (and sequels) are great because, well, they achieve all the criteria.
Ironically, I always hated writing; but I loved drawing. Until recently, I started realizing that I could actually tell a story if I thought about all the things I want to see in any given story. Until you came and sparked a new joy out of drawing something and posting it since my Bunnie picture and the story that goes with it is so novel, I now find myself almost writing a comic. Don't hold your breath on a comic, I barely can get these single panel moments out and have to fight apathy to go into any considerable detail.

Back to the future, Ghostbusters, Who Framed Roger Rabbit...OMG. Yes.
As for a comic, I meant for, you know...maybe years down the road--I myself got a pretty strong reality check when I started off trying to do my own comic series. But just keep doing single works and build yourself up, like working out at a gym. You're showing improvement, even day to day.
(*giggles* I just realized how cute Rebecca would be as a character. If you ever do end up making a comic, I'd love to see you do more with her^^)
