I love this. So many times I see realism that's simply a copy of a photo. I can tell this isn't. You've managed to paint the bird beautifully and realistically while using your own way of interpreting how it looks in your style!

When I was little, a friend of mine lived on a farm in the middle of the city. xD They had chickens, goats, and rabbits. The chickens were always getting loose and running around. They were always clucking about. Fun to pet too... The hens were nice enough, but the rooster was one hella nasty bird. xD Looks like he had his face stuffed in a meat grinder or something.

Oh yes! Tame/pet chickens are SO fun to pet. They kind of squat down when you pet them, like they're resigned to tolerate being constantly smooshed by human hands, haha. xD They're so surprisingly soft. ;_;

I'm a huge fan of the original 150. :'D Call me old school. I stopped watching the series after Ash changed his hat. I was like, "NOPE. Done with this. >8U *flings remote*"

So I'm not so familiar with the newer pokemon. @_@;

I played Red and Gold, then stopped due to college, but afterward I tried the new games, and they really have improved upon EVERYTHING. If you ever get the opportunity I'd heartily recommend giving the new games a chance. :) It's truly something to see the original monsters with first better art, then some pixel animation, and now with the just-released X and Y true 3d models!

Also the types are much more balanced (Ghost is actually super-effective against Psychic now! As Ghost is my favorite type, this is a huge deal to me. xD)

Mom's been getting into the whole self-sufficiency thing lately. Keeps her busy as she gets older, I guess.
In any case, bought a bunch of chicks, now we have chickens, and they go "brup brup" and sidle away from me when I stick my head in to count them at night.

Not a bad hobby to have. :) Plus, you get to eat the freshest eggs available! ^^
