Been toying with the idea that Val gets dragged back to Hell and promoted to a Demon Prince, but at the cost of all of his memories of Earth and anyone he met there. It obviously makes him a different person, better for ruling over unruly hoards of Incubi, better equipped for not giving a damn about anyone but himself.

You just have to hope no one ever comes looking for him.
