A young coyote hunter from the Coyote Islands, Tethen Lightpawed grew up in a small peaceful village until one fateful day, which caused him to flee into exile. Shamed, he sailed to Batterhold and swore fealty to House Guilliame and became their chief huntsman, accompanied always by his trusted falcon companion.
