Pawsome and they got it pared up with the Rio Grande locomotive. This week in Rockford Illinois where I live on the old IC line now CN an EJ&E SD40-3 ( Rebuilt SD40-2 ) with the red strobe flashing on the cab roof pulling one boxcar East bound. EJ&E is an recent CN merger to reroute some of CN's traffic around Chicago. I also sometimes see IC, CN, & WC MOW equipment. I live close to the old IC line and can hear the trains blowing their horns at every grade crossing in the neighborhood I live in. =^.^=

saw this when it came through roseville on the executive train, along with the w.p. one. (about three years ago i think it was)
i grew up on the s.p. and my dad worked for them until 81 when they made him retire.
he died in 91 so he never saw the u.p. takeover.

I wish CSX would do something like this for the Chessie System, LN, Family Lines, C&O, B&O, Seaboard Coast Line, and all the other subsidiary lines that got eaten up!
