Part of Tindalos' job as a ethereal hellhound/dark angel type guy is that almost any time he's needed, he MUST go. We have a running joke that instead of tending to the needs of the people that summon him of his own accord, he's just instantly teleported into their home/work/bowling alley/whatever (via right or acute angles).

Of course, the grumpy bastard that he is, he wouldn't want to go, and threatens that if Ian dare summon him again, he'd send the absent-minded, scatterbrained prophet/seer Quetzcoatl, who can barely function in daily life thanks to his affliction (Xatu see the past, present, and future all at once) in his place.
