A chronology of my main character, Kaneshia since the beginning of my collaboration with Magic Clam.
Kaneshia was originally created in 1994. She was featured only in black and white drawings until 1999 when I met Magic Clam in college.
1990-2000: During our first year of collaboration, we had much to improve on, but the ideas were already in place. The inks were very rough with a ball-point pen and Magic Clam was just beginning to color with Prisma color pencils.
2000-2002: During this time, we produced a very large volume of work. While the anatomy is wonky, Magic Clam’s coloring is showing improvement. Since this time I have been inking with Micron pens.
2002-2003: The coloring continues to improve and I finally attempted to draw fabrics with folds. Her head is growing larger relative to the rest of her body.
2003-2004: She is becoming a little less stiff and awkward in her poses, but now her head is really huge and the anatomy remains wonky. Magic Clam discovers that backlighting is neat.
2006-Present: Now we’re finally seeing some improvement in the anatomy and more detailing in the outfits. Note that her eyes are no longer inked in solid black with a single white highlight. Magic Clam’s colors are showing a better understanding of textures and light direction.
Kaneshia will continue to grow as a character and we will grow with her as we continue to develop our artist skills.

Ahah, I would have to do a similar chronology of Aisha... Unlike me you've kept a certain continuity to her looks, I mean she is identifiable from the first pic to the last. Which is good. (i have no such thing, and my charas look like TOTALLY different people. XD)
And damn you've drawn for a long time... i've only drawn for about three years now. ^__^;;;
Good luck with further development. ;)

Thanks for the comments. I have tried to remain as true as possible to my original designs for the Cervidians with the only major changes occcuring in the anatomy or with the inking and coloring techniques. However, I will always have plenty of improvements to make.
