OOOooo, a new reference sheet!
Yep, it's been a year or two and he's design has changed a little so I thought it was time for an updated reference sheet!
The artwork is by
redvelvetbat and the original is here: Theta Reference Sheet.
He was just so great to work with, I gladly recommend him for any commission work.
I mean, look at those stripes; they're just as I've always pictured them! :)
How on earth he managed to pluck out the look from my semi-coherent ramblings I have no idea.
So this is my character Theta!
He's essentially a husky, but I decided to be a bit selfish and give him tiger colourings and stripes, because tigers are awesome too.
But he now has hair!
That's actually the main difference between the two reference sheets :P
But I was getting tired of having to reference multiple images whenever I commissioned someone.
One thing to note is that the 'stripes' on his arms and legs are in fact one, continuous spiral stripe on each limb.
That's what the little spiral pointing to his knee is about.
I think it's a neat way of conveying the idea.
But I can't take credit for it, it was redvelvetbat's idea.
So here's to the next few years of commissioning, I can't wait to get more artwork done! :D

Oh thank you so much! Ha! I've never really considered him a separate breed, just a dog who happens to have tiger colourings. But of course you can borrow it for your fursona, I feel no sense of ownership over the idea, just the specific design for this character. So as long as your fursona is noticably different, go right ahead! (If you don't mind, send me a note when you've got your design down so I can check it out)
