I wanted to try to fix what I thought was wrong with this one. I added 5 more colors but 2 of those were so similar to the old colors so as not to have mattered, really. I deepened the shadows with more blue, added some nice purple as a transition from blue to brown, and put some peach in the belly area to make that look better. All that yellow by itself just wasn't working. The rest is just going back over the same areas with the same colors to ace the areas where the white was peeking through. All in all I'd say it looks a lot bettah now :d

wow it's amazing what a difference it makes to just keep at it and layer up your colors. everything is more vibrant and lifelike. your use of color in shading is awesome, I especially like how you have a warm and a cool shadow on the yellow horns, really makes them pop. damn! I need to read a tutorial or something on color theory xD you're inspiring me to push my art harder :D
Yeah! When I finally stopped using colored pencils the same way as crayons, I started noticing how much depth you could give to your pictures. Pencils are just so much more versatile! The blending of colors here could've been smoother but eh, I'm still learning.
